The girls taking a moment to reflect on how they see themselves, how the believe other see them, and deciding how they will purposefully encourage themselves this school year.
(Below) K.Y.C.E.P's 2017 Fall Fortification Conference was a success! Our girls left feeling empowered, refreshed and encouraged after hearing from four awesome speakers! Big thanks to all of our speakers! Christian Parker gave an excellent talk about "The Beautiful Image Within You." Several young ladies had a breakthrough, and they gained a new perspective after hearing her eloquently express the importance of self love and acceptance. Jessica Rodriguez blew everyone away with her elaborate presentation over "Female Empowerment In The Workplace" as she broke down the seven rules for success. Our girls eagerly took notes on how to dominate their careers and discover their passion. The segment ended with Jamaurie Woods & Joneshia Stewart tag teamed "Healthy Relationships & Abstinence." This dynamic duo was transparent, gave an awesome illustration on understanding your own value, and spoke about how to have healthy relationships while dating; the girls couldn't get enough. We concluded with teams building exercises, creative challenges and giveaways. We also would like to thank Chick-fil-A & Holiday Inn Express for sponsoring such a wonderful event as well as salute our wonderful board members, parents and donations that helped to make this event a success!

Today's discussion was centered around sexual assault and the awareness of victim's rights. The girls were open, brave and compassionate when discussing situations where either themselves or someone they know could identify with the "Me Too" movement. At the end of the discussion participants wrote letters of compassion to victims of sexual assault.
