Executive Director, Chasta Winslow, founded Kudos Youth & Community Enrichment Program (K.Y.C.E.P) July 20, 2016 as means to help alleviate a deficit found within Title I schools that service communities of low socioeconomic status. She received her Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice from Lamar University in 2006. After several years of focusing on raising her daughter, she obtained her masters in Behavioral Psychology from The University of Phoenix in 2012. Throughout her ten-year career as a high school criminal justice teacher as well as continued education, and various certified trainings, she found her calling to make a difference on a larger scale. K.Y.C.E.P was birthed from the genuine love for her students and desire to help. This endeavor has already proven to be rewarding, to whom she gives her campus and Aldine Independent School District appreciation for being a major part of her success. Chasta formulated ways to give back on a structured incentive tier-system, which mimics what she does in her classroom.
